We just used Shelly's Country Cakes for a Summer 2009 Wedding in Iowa City. We were initially going to use a conventional cake but Shelly convinced us to try the new Faux Cake. Because of the ease of transportation and set up and our large number of attendees ( 300 + ) Shelly encouraged us to give this exciting new product a try. As professional wedding photographers for 32 YRS we all had high expectations for our wedding cake and decided to let Shelly do EXACTLY what she wanted ! The Bride, The Mother of the Bride, and all guests were thrilled with the way the cake looked, tasted, and was set up and presented. The three different flavors are still being talked about by our friends and described as " The Best Cake they ever Tasted "

My husband and I were very excited about our cake leading up to the wedding, but we were thrilled when we found out there was both a more economical and esthetic piece that would be offered by "renting our cake." Thank you for our amazing wedding cake! As you are aware of I was one those brides who loved the look of fondant but did not care for other aspects of it. We were thrilled to be able to have the beauty of a fondant cake but serve our guests your wonderful buttercream cake instead.
